Democrats Counter-CLARITY Act Push Ahead of Senate Vote
Senate Democrats have sent Republicans a counteroffer to the CLARITY Act hours before the scheduled procedural vote on September 15.
The Democratic proposal is in response to the revised Republican draft, which incorporates 126 substantive changes requested by Democratic negotiators during talks.
Despite these revisions, Democrats remain concerned about ethics enforcement, particularly regarding government officials' crypto interests and stablecoin rewards.
The Senate will vote at 2:15 p.m. ET on Tuesday, with 60 votes required to advance debate.
