DGAI Expands Reach to Both BNB Smart Chain and Arbitrum
The DGrid AI token, DGAI, has expanded its reach by becoming available on both BNB Smart Chain and Arbitrum through Wormhole's Native Token Transfers framework. This integration allows for seamless movement of tokens between the two chains.
This achievement is particularly notable given that DGAI was only recently generated in a token generation event (TGE) between August 17 and August 19. The cross-chain integration went live on August 24, coinciding with the start of trading across major exchanges like Kraken, KuCoin, Bitget, Gate.io, and MEXC.
The Wormhole NTT framework powers this integration, which operates through burn-and-mint mechanics. When a user sends DGAI from BNB Smart Chain to Arbitrum, tokens are burned on the source chain and an equivalent amount is minted on the destination chain. This approach maintains the total circulating supply constant and eliminates wrapped tokens.
This is crucial for DGAI because its protocol has a fixed total supply of 1 billion with no inflationary minting built in. The burn-and-mint bridge preserves this constraint mathematically, rather than relying on custodial reserves.
