Diamond: CLARITY Act to Clarify Digital Asset Rules for Banks

Share

Former Barclays CEO Bob Diamond is optimistic about the impact of the CLARITY Act on banks. According to him, the legislation will 'clarify digital asset rules for banks' and is 'really good for the banks over time.'

Diamond pointed out that large banks such as JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and Bank of New York are investing heavily in crypto innovation. He believes these banks are leading the charge in cryptocurrency adoption.

The CLARITY Act is still pending a full Senate vote due to ongoing ethics negotiations. Despite this, Diamond expects its passage to accelerate bank adoption of crypto, DeFi services, and institutional funding.
