DJT Stock Slumps on $238M Quarterly Loss and Bitcoin Buy
Trump Media & Technology Group (NASDAQ: DJT) shares plummeted by 8.03% to $9.39 as investors reacted to the company's latest quarterly loss and a significant increase in its Bitcoin holdings.
The decline came after Trump Media reported a net loss of $238.1 million for the second quarter of 2026, more than ten times the $20 million loss recorded a year earlier. Quarterly revenue increased to $1.7 million from $0.9 million during the same period.
At the same time, Trump Media added 4,661.84 Bitcoin to its treasury, bringing its total holdings to 12,061.66 BTC. This move has positioned the company among publicly traded companies holding Bitcoin, even as falling crypto prices have contributed to large unrealized losses on its balance sheet.
The company held 9,477 BTC and 756.1 million CRO tokens as of June 30, valued at a combined $597.7 million at the time. However, unrealized losses on digital assets reached $360.6 million during the first half of 2026.
