Dodgers Owner's MAGA Donations Spark Criticism From Los Angeles Community
Los Angeles Dodgers co-owner Todd Boehly has been donating to Republican candidates in the upcoming midterm elections, sparking criticism from local community advocates.
According to campaign finance records, Boehly donated a total of $2 million to MAGA Inc., a political action committee that financially backs the president and Trump-aligned candidates, between December 2024 and 2025.
He has also donated a combined $23,100 to the re-election campaigns of four Republican U.S. House of Representatives members in competitive districts in Pennsylvania since April.
Jose Madera, director of the Pasadena Community Job Center and a lifelong Dodgers fan, expressed his disappointment at Boehly's donations, pointing out that recent ICE crackdowns have led to violence in Los Angeles.
