DOGE Merchant Adoption Fuels $0.10 Price Target Amidst Growing Token Utility
Over 6,000 merchants now accept Dogecoin (DOGE) as payment, giving it a practical use beyond exchange trading and meme culture. This development could strengthen DOGE's $0.10 price target by providing a real-world application for the token.
The merchant acceptance is significant because it enables customers to spend DOGE regularly, which can create demand and increase the token's value. Businesses that hold onto DOGE or recirculate it into other purchases also contribute to this effect.
AlphaPepe, a platform that offers an early opportunity for meme buyers to trade tokens economically, has linked future decentralized exchange (DEX) activity with gradual token scarcity through its AlphaSwap fee model. This mechanism permanently burns 50% of every 0.3% fee from ALPE supply, connecting the reduction in supply with actual trading activity.
The expansion of Dogecoin's utility and the introduction of a burn mechanism could create a more mature valuation for the token, making it more attractive to investors. However, this also means that each major multiple requires billions in additional value, which may be challenging to achieve.
