DOGE Price Corrects Amid Waning Derivatives Demand
Dogecoin's price correction continues, now at $0.086 after being rejected at the $0.100 resistance level. The meme coin faces headwinds as derivatives demand cools, with perpetual futures Open Interest (OI) falling to around 15.7 billion DOGE on Friday.
This decline in retail interest suggests fading demand and may lead to further losses until robust support is established. Trading volume has contracted sharply to $1.5 billion from $5.2 billion on August 23, pointing to waning investor participation.
Dogecoin's price holds above the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $0.078 and the 100-day EMA at $0.082, hinting at a mildly constructive bias. However, it remains capped by the 200-day EMA resistance near $0.095.
