Dogecoin Bear Cross Sparks Debate Among Traders
Dogecoin (DOGE) has made a rare technical signal that is dividing analysts. The token posted a weekly bearish cross, where its 20-week exponential moving average fell below its 200-week EMA, with DOGE trading at $0.10.
This crossover has historically marked the bottom for DOGE, but not all traders share that conviction. Daan Crypto Trades sees the recent bounce off $0.08 as a range trade rather than a trend reversal, and notes that the token is stuck in a narrow $0.08, $0.13 range.
Joaquim Wedson of Alphractal warns that holders may face liquidation if DOGE breaks lower, citing an aggregated heatmap that shows potential liquidation levels sitting below the current price. Wedson also ties DOGE's rallies to broader market conditions, stating that memecoin gains are often a risk signal for Bitcoin (BTC).
