Dogecoin Consolidates Above $0.19 Amid Bullish Sentiment
After plummeting below $0.19, Dogecoin has entered a consolidation phase. According to Yellow.com, the cryptocurrency tested its support level at $0.1820 and is now facing resistance below $0.2150.
The digital asset's decline was triggered by breaking below several key support levels. DOGE first fell under $0.2150 and continued dropping past $0.2100, positioning it below both the $0.2100 level and the 100-hourly simple moving average, indicating bearish sentiment among traders.
Technical analysts noted a significant development on the hourly chart: Dogecoin broke above a connecting bearish trend line with resistance at $0.1900. This technical pattern typically suggests potential for upward movement.
Bulls managed to push the price above $0.1950, which represents the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement level of the downward move from the $0.2421 swing high to the $0.1826 low. However, Dogecoin still trades below the critical $0.2150 level and the 100-hourly simple moving average.
Traders identify the $0.2050 mark as immediate resistance, with the first major hurdle for bulls at the $0.2120 level, which coincides with the 50% Fibonacci retracement level of the recent downward move. A successful close above $0.2195 could potentially send Dogecoin toward $0.2220 and further gains might push the price to $0.2350.
A break below the critical support level at $0.1820 could accelerate the downward movement toward $0.1740 or even $0.1650 in the near term.
