Dogecoin Derivatives Show Renewed Bullish Momentum Amid Steep Price Decline

Dogecoin (DOGE) has seen its spot price decline by approximately 70% over the past year, settling at around $0.07. However, derivatives market indicators show growing optimism among traders.

The open interest in futures contracts has surged to $1.21 billion, with a comparable value of 17.18 billion DOGE tokens when measured in token terms. This marks a significant increase from the $930 million recorded in late June and approaches the 17.78 billion peak observed in October 2025, when prices hovered around 25 cents.

The daily trading volume has exploded 95% higher to reach $1.39 billion amid heightened derivatives action, with options trading witnessing the most substantial increase across all monitored metrics.
