Dogecoin ETFs Stagnate Despite Brief Inflow Surge
Despite a brief surge in subscriptions on July 21, Dogecoin-backed ETFs have stalled, failing to convince investors. The funds saw a one-day inflow of $345,130, but subsequent days saw no net capital coming in, with daily flows falling back to zero from July 22 to 24.
The stagnation raises questions about investor appetite for these atypical financial vehicles as asset managers seek to expand the crypto ETF offering beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum. The price of DOGE dropped by 0.17% over 24 hours, settling at $0.07, nearing its lowest level since November 2023.
However, open interest in derivatives climbed to $1.10 billion, indicating an accumulation of short positions in the near term. This contradicts the spot market, where the price of Dogecoin is under pressure, showing a slight decline of 0.17% over the last 24 hours.
