Dogecoin Faces Aggressive Short Bet Ahead of Q3

Instruments
BTC DOGE DOG
Share

Dogecoin is facing an aggressive short bet from a trader who has opened a massive 40x short on DOGE, with an entry price at $0.071 and liquidation around $0.07, yielding over 40% in profit.

This setup looks ominous for Dogecoin, as the trader's bet is focused on a key support zone that DOGE has been holding for nearly two months.

The chart shows that DOGE spent over four months consolidating around the $0.08 level before experiencing a 28%+ correction in June, which broke that structure and triggered massive long squeezes and pushed DOGE to a more than two-year low as capitulation intensified.

Naturally, the question is whether Dogecoin will repeat the same playbook heading deeper into Q3, with the DOGE/BTC ratio looking set to close August with another lower low, showing little sign of rotation back into the memecoin.
