Dogecoin Leads Crypto Rebound with 10% Surge Amid Fed Uncertainty
Dogecoin made a significant move on Thursday, surging 10% to trade at $0.0771 and briefly touching $0.078 before pulling back some gains. This rally came as part of a broader rebound in the cryptocurrency market, with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana all trading higher.
The increase was notable enough that Billy Markus, Dogecoin's co-founder who goes by Shibetoshi Nakamoto on X, took to social media to share a screenshot of the rally alongside two pointed questions: 'is crypto back? is the 2026 nightmare over?'
Markus' reference to a '2026 nightmare' stems from an extended downturn that has gripped crypto markets since last October, when a rapid collapse triggered approximately $19 billion in liquidations.
The latest recovery shows notable breadth, with Bitcoin participating strongly and Ethereum and Solana recording meaningful gains. This reinforces the view that Thursday's move reflects a broader shift in market dynamics rather than an isolated Dogecoin spike.
