Dogecoin Slumps as AlphaPepe Rockets to $2.5M Presale
Dogecoin (DOGE) has pulled back around 3.6% after a strong August recovery, trading near $0.084 as the broader crypto market cools.
Despite this decline, DOGE remains one of the stronger meme coin performers during the recent market rebound, rallying from below $0.07 earlier in August and briefly approaching $0.10 on speculative demand.
The token's latest decline has pushed it back toward the $0.084-$0.085 region, putting its recent breakout under pressure.
AlphaPepe (ALPE), a new meme coin project, is attracting attention with its presale reaching $2.54 million and over 11,300 holders.
The project plans to launch on a decentralized exchange in Q1 2027, listing at $0.08, creating a potential gap of approximately 2.81x between the current Stage 20 price of $0.02845 and its listing price.
