Dogecoin Struggles with Bearish Momentum as Bitcoin Regains Bullish Traction
The crypto market is experiencing a complex situation as Dogecoin (DOGE) has entered one of its weakest technical phases of 2026, while Bitcoin (BTC) shows signs of regaining bullish momentum. Dogecoin's price action and momentum indicators indicate a near total lack of buying interest, with the token trading at $0.069 on the daily chart.
Every significant moving average is traded below by DOGE, including the 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day averages. The longer-term averages are still sloping downward, suggesting that the main trend has not altered, but the 20-day moving average is starting to flatten as the price consolidates.
Buyers have a lot of work ahead of them, as evidenced by the difference between the current price and the 100-day moving average near $0.083. The declining 200-day moving average is located above that at $0.099, which is almost 40% higher than current levels.
On the other hand, Bitcoin has been able to stay above its June lows, setting a series of higher lows rather than new lows, suggesting that demand is starting to withstand selling pressure. The asset has been able to stay above the 20-day and 50-day moving averages thanks to this consistent accumulation phase.
