DOJ Seizes $560K in Crypto Allegedly Bound for Hamas
U.S. federal investigators have dealt a significant blow to Hamas by seizing over $560,000 in cryptocurrency that was allegedly bound for the Palestinian militant group.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced on Tuesday that it had taken control of websites and servers used by Hamas to collect donations and recruit supporters online.
U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro described the seizure as 'a massive blow' to Hamas, which was designated a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S.
'My message to Hamas is clear: Your networks are not secure, your crypto is vulnerable, and we will not stop until your ability to wage war is defeated,' Pirro said in a video posted on X.
