DonAlt Predicts BTC, ETH Dominance Over XRP, SOL
DonAlt, a prominent technical analyst on TradingView, has shared his views on the future performance of several popular cryptocurrencies. According to him, Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) are likely to outperform XRP (XRP) and Solana (SOL) in the long term.
Bitcoin is currently stuck in a tight multi-week range, with DonAlt highlighting $65,600 as the key upside level for a potential breakout. He believes that if Bitcoin can convincingly break above this level, it could trigger a fast move higher and create a momentum trade. However, on the downside, he sees the low $62,000 region as increasingly important.
DonAlt notes that sentiment towards Bitcoin is overly bearish, with many calling for a collapse to $40,000 despite the price continuing to hold its range. He believes that 'up is probably more likely than down' and has a current bias towards buying before confirmation rather than chasing a breakout later.
Ethereum, on the other hand, is still trading against major resistance around $1,900 but has improved substantially in terms of performance against Bitcoin. DonAlt sees the potential for a rapid move toward roughly $2,400 to $2,500 if ETH clears this resistance and prefers buying before confirmation.
As for Solana, DonAlt describes its setup as unclear and uncertain. He believes that SOL is currently sitting in the 'middle of nowhere' without an obvious invalidation point and sees a more attractive trade emerging if it can reclaim roughly $100, potentially opening a move toward $120. Longer term, however, he expects Ethereum to outperform Solana.
DonAlt is similarly cautious on XRP, saying that the setup that originally attracted him has disappeared. He believes that XRP is now trading around $1 after a brutal decline and sees little compelling technical support until potentially around $0.75. Moreover, the narrative catalyst that drove his earlier trade has weakened.
