Doppler Brings Institutional-Grade Token Launches to Solana
Doppler, the protocol responsible for hosting over 90% of new Base token launches, is expanding to the Solana blockchain. The company announced that it will be rebuilding its protocol from scratch on Solana's Virtual Machine (SVM), rather than porting or forking an existing version.
This move comes after Doppler raised a $9 million seed round in Q2 2025, led by Pantera Capital and including participation from Variant, Figment Capital, and Coinbase Ventures. The protocol currently powers over 40,000 daily asset creations worth more than $1.5 billion in aggregate value and over $1 billion in cumulative trading volume.
Doppler operates as a Uniswap v4 hook that automates initial price discovery through Dutch-auction dynamic bonding curves, offering token deployment, vesting, liquidity bootstrapping, and governance in a single interface. The protocol earns trading fees on tokens regardless of where they trade after launch, making volume the primary revenue driver.
The move to Solana reflects a broader convergence between Base and Solana ecosystems, with Base recently launching a cross-chain bridge to Solana and Zora tapping into Solana for its 'attention market' product. However, Doppler will face competition from Pump.fun, which has commoditized and simplified the launch process on Solana.
