Doppler Expands to Solana with Native Rebuild
Doppler, a token launch protocol built by Whetstone Research, is expanding to Solana (SOL) in a major move. The company has redesigned its protocol from first principles to accommodate the unique architectural assumptions and programming model of the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM). According to Doppler, the SVM's distinct constraints make it an interesting platform for their services.
Doppler currently powers over 40,000 daily asset creations representing more than $1.5 billion in aggregate value on Base. The protocol operates as a Uniswap v4 hook that automates initial price discovery through Dutch-auction dynamic bonding curves. Doppler has integrations with Zora, Base App, Paragraph, and Bankr, making it the default infrastructure for teams launching on Base.
The $9 million seed round, raised in Q2 2025, was led by Pantera Capital with participation from Variant, Figment Capital, and Coinbase Ventures. Doppler earns trading fees on tokens regardless of where they trade after launch, a model that makes volume, rather than launch count, the primary revenue driver.
