Doppler Rebuilds for Solana in Expansion Bid
Doppler, the token launch protocol built by Whetstone Research, is expanding to Solana (SOL) in a major move. The protocol, which now handles over 90% of new DEX pool launches on Base, will not be a simple port or fork but rather a ground-up rebuild for the Solana Virtual Machine.
The announcement comes roughly six weeks after Doppler disclosed a $9 million seed round raised in Q2 2025. According to Austin Adams, founder of Doppler, the team redesigned the protocol from first principles to accommodate the SVM's distinct architectural assumptions and constraints.
With over 40,000 daily asset creations representing more than $1.5 billion in aggregate value and over $1 billion in cumulative trading volume, Doppler operates as a Uniswap v4 hook that automates initial price discovery through Dutch-auction dynamic bonding curves.
