Dormant Bitcoin Supply Hits Record 3.56 Million
Bitcoin's (BTC) dormant supply has reached an all-time high of 3.56 million BTC, representing approximately 17.7% of the circulating supply.
This figure was reported by Darkfost, an analyst at CryptoQuant, on August 16.
The amount of Bitcoin that has not moved in over a decade is now worth around $226.8 billion (approximately ¥36.2 trillion) at the current price of about $63,700 per BTC.
According to Darkfost, more than 14,000 BTC entered the 'unmoved for 10+ years' category in just the last 30 days.
Darkfost noted that while old BTC occasionally moves, the overall lost supply continues to grow, describing it as a dynamic that naturally reduces circulating supply.
