A dormant Bitcoin wallet has been activated after being inactive for 12.7 years, sparking renewed interest in long-term holder activity.

The wallet contained approximately $31.3 million worth of BTC and was one of several dormant wallets to show signs of life on August 3rd.

According to Whale Alert, the activation is indicative of increased activity among long-term holders, with 935 BTC moved from wallets inactive for over ten years.

However, concerns surrounding a suspected Coldcard exploit have raised questions about the timing of both transfers, although wallet-level evidence has not directly linked either movement to the suspected exploit.
