Dormant ICO Whale Awakens, Moves $3.77M in ETH to Coinbase

A dormant Ethereum address linked to the network's initial coin offering (ICO) in 2014 has moved 2,000 ETH, valued at approximately $3.77 million, to Coinbase.

This is the first movement from the wallet in roughly 11 years, since the ICO period when ETH was sold at around $0.31 per token.

The transfer marks a notable event in the crypto community but does not necessarily signal an immediate cause for alarm, as exchange deposits can precede sales or be made for other reasons such as moving funds to a custodial service.

This is part of a broader pattern of early Ethereum adopters and ICO participants occasionally moving dormant holdings, which often draw attention due to their size and historical significance but do not necessarily lead to immediate market sell-offs.
