Dormant Satoshi-Era Wallets Stir Market Interest with $28 Million Transfer

Seven dormant Bitcoin wallets, created in March 2010, have become active after nearly 16 and a half years of complete inactivity. These wallets collectively moved 350 BTC valued at approximately $28 million in a series of transactions this week.

The transferred coins match the block reward awarded to miners during Bitcoin's formative period and are considered historic because they rarely leave their original wallets. At today's prices, each of these wallets would translate to nearly $4 million per wallet.

Despite the large nominal sum involved, there is no concrete evidence yet that these coins are being sent to exchanges or that their owners intend to sell. On-chain movement alone offers few signals of market intent unless additional flows toward trading venues emerge in follow-up transactions.
