DoshiAtoll BTC Short Faces Liquidation as Ethereum Long Generates Profits
A trader known as DoshiAtoll has taken on an aggressive short position in Bitcoin (BTC), betting against the cryptocurrency's price at a ratio of 40x. The trade, which was initiated last night, involves a short position of 1200 BTC valued at $83.07 million when the market opened.
The trader's short is now facing significant losses, with the current value of the position sitting at around $5.34 million in floating loss. With only $113.1 left in margin separating the position from liquidation, market watchers are closely monitoring the situation.
Despite this precarious positioning, DoshiAtoll also holds a long position on Ethereum (ETH), with a 25x stake worth over $42 million entered at $2270.43. This long position has so far generated a profit of around $180,000 and is providing some relief from the losses incurred by the BTC short.
Market analysts are predicting that Bitcoin's price may be due for a retracement to the 50-EMA support level at $65,115.64, given the asset's current overbought reading on the RSI indicator. This potential correction could provide an opportunity for traders to reassess their positions and adjust accordingly.
