Dow Protocol Raises $10.5M to Speed Up E-Commerce Financing with Blockchain
Dow Protocol has raised $10.5 million in a seed funding round to expand its blockchain financing model for e-commerce merchants.
The company's PayFi framework uses credit risk data to advance working capital against pending receivables, allowing merchants to receive financing within seconds instead of the usual 14-28 day wait.
This is a significant improvement over traditional financing methods, which can take two to three months to reach a business. Cross-border settlements with Dow Protocol's model can be completed in as little as one day.
The company argues that its addressable market is a $2.8 trillion global working capital opportunity, with merchants willing to pay higher financing costs for speed. Repayments are pulled automatically from merchants' platform balances through direct e-commerce integrations.
