DraftKings Takes Parlay Bets In-House with CFTC Filing

Share

DraftKings has filed a self-certification with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to offer parlay-style contracts on its in-house exchange, DKeX. This move will allow DraftKings to settle combination bets internally, rather than routing them through third-party exchanges like Crypto.com.

The filing covers a 'combos' contract titled 'Will all [outcomes] occur?' which settles based on the joint outcome of two or more constituent contracts, governed by DKeX's own rules. Self-certification is the standard CFTC process that allows a designated contract market to list new products without seeking prior agency approval.

This change signals DraftKings' intent to move quickly on rolling out the feature on its platform. The company has been working to consolidate its prediction markets stack, and this self-certification is another step towards achieving full vertical integration.
