Druckenmiller's $125M Bitcoin Miner Bet Sparks Market Interest

Stanley Druckenmiller's family office has placed a significant bet on Bitcoin mining stocks, putting $125.6 million into four companies in the last quarter.

This is notable because Druckenmiller has an impressive track record of investment, having gone 30 years without a loss and averaging 30% annual returns.

The move was part of a larger shift in his portfolio, as he sold out of major American AI chip stocks like Broadcom, Intel, and Micron Technology to make room for the new investments.

Druckenmiller's previous stance on Bitcoin was neutral; in October 2023, he said he owned no Bitcoin but that 'young people look at #bitcoin as a store of value. It’s a brand. I like it. I don’t own any, but I should.'
