Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) and BlackRock-backed tokenization platform Securitize have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to advance tokenization and digital asset infrastructure in the UAE.

The MoU will establish a collaborative framework between VARA and Securitize, supporting regulated tokenization initiatives, fostering institutional participation, and strengthening Dubai's digital asset ecosystem.

Citing increasing investor demand for tokenized assets, Carlos Domingo, co-founder and CEO of Securitize, stated that Dubai has emerged as one of the 'world's most forward-looking jurisdictions for digital asset innovation.'

VARA granted its 50th virtual asset service provider (VASP) license to Tribe Tokenisation FZE in early July.
