Dubai Duty Free has become the latest retailer to accept cryptocurrency payments, allowing customers to pay with Shiba Inu (SHIB) and 29 other cryptocurrencies at Dubai International and Al Maktoum airports. The integration is made possible through Crypto.com Pay, which converts payments into UAE Dirhams instantly, ensuring a regulated crypto-to-fiat transaction process.

This move follows Emirates Airlines' recent adoption of crypto payments and aligns with Dubai's strategy to shift 90% of transactions to cashless digital formats. The integration is fully licensed and supervised by the UAE Central Bank, marking a significant step for crypto adoption in the region's real economy.
