Dubai Duty Free Joins Cryptocurrency Payment Revolution with Crypto.com Pay
Dubai Duty Free has become the latest major retailer to accept cryptocurrency payments. The company has integrated Crypto.com Pay, allowing customers to settle purchases using 30 different cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Shiba Inu.
The service is available at Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central, as well as on the retailer's online store. Payments are processed through the Crypto.com Pay wallet, which instantly converts the chosen cryptocurrency into UAE dirhams at the point of sale.
This move follows a growing trend of major retailers accepting cryptocurrency payments in the Middle East, where regulatory frameworks have become more accommodating. The UAE has been proactive in establishing clear guidelines for digital assets, and Dubai has positioned itself as a forward-thinking city that embraces technological innovation.
