Dubai VARA Partners with Securitize on Regulated Tokenized Markets
Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) and Securitize have signed a memorandum of understanding to support regulated tokenized markets in Dubai. The agreement, announced on September 3, creates a framework for cooperation between VARA and Securitize rather than approving a specific product or authorizing a new market launch.
The MoU will enable the two parties to work together through knowledge sharing, ecosystem development, and regulatory engagement. This collaboration aims to give licensed market participants access to Securitize's experience with institutional tokenization while maintaining standards for market integrity and investor protection under Dubai's framework.
Securitize operates tokenized-asset infrastructure and became a New York Stock Exchange-listed company earlier this year. The company has approximately $5 billion in assets under management as of August 2026, according to its own disclosed measure.
