Dubai VARA Signs Deal With Securitize to Drive Tokenization Innovation in UAE
Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) and Securitize have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to advance tokenization in the United Arab Emirates. The agreement aims to attract institutional talent and define how tokenized financial products should operate under Dubai's regulatory framework.
The total value of tokenized assets grew 2% over 30 days to reach $38.5 billion, with 3.2 million holders worldwide. Securitize leads the global tokenization market with $4.9 billion in tokenized assets under management, followed by Ondo Finance with $3.5 billion.
CARLOS DOMINGO, co-founder and CEO of Securitize, highlighted that Dubai has positioned itself as one of the most forward-thinking jurisdictions in the world when it comes to digital asset innovation. He underscored the importance of working together with regulators as tokenization transitions from theory to conventional financial infrastructure.
