eCash Founder Sztorc Rejects Theft Claims Over Satoshi's 1.1M Bitcoin
eCash founder Paul Sztorc is pushing back against claims that his project's August hard fork is an attempt to steal Satoshi Nakamoto's 1.1 million Bitcoin (BTC).
Sztorc argues that the new chain will not touch Satoshi's actual coins, but rather gift him 600,000 eCash tokens, while the remaining 500,000 fund early investors and developers.
The hard fork is scheduled for block height 964,000 in August, where every BTC holder will receive an equal amount of eCash on a 1:1 basis. A coin-splitter tool will be released to keep balances separate.
Sztorc claims the reassignment is necessary to avoid a 'zombie' launch with no funded contributors. The chain will also activate Drivechains, his long-rejected scaling proposal known as BIP300/301.
