Eclipse Unveils Hybrid Blockchain Solution Combining Solana and Ethereum
Eclipse Labs is set to launch its mainnet in October, marking a significant development in blockchain interoperability. The project combines elements from Ethereum, Solana, and Celestia blockchains to address scalability issues in the Web3 space.
Eclipse utilizes the Solana Virtual Machine for transaction execution and operates as an Ethereum layer 2 solution. It incorporates Celestia's data storage capabilities, aiming to bring 'Web2 scale to Web3'. The team believes this can be achieved by combining the strengths of multiple blockchains while avoiding their perceived weaknesses.
Eclipse CEO Vijay Chetty confirmed the October timeline, stating that the public mainnet will launch towards the end of the month. The project is currently in the developer mainnet phase.
