Paul Sztorc's Bitcoin fork, ECX, has made rapid progress in its Alpha phase launch. In just 13 hours, it mined over 25,000 blocks with a hashpower of 3.53 PH/s, demonstrating strong miner participation. The network's difficulty adjustment surged from 1 to over 16 million, indicating active mining pools and rapid adjustment.

This early success contrasts with previous forks that lacked support. ECX currently has no market price or exchange listings, but the project aims for a mainnet launch around October 31, 2026, when trading might begin.
