ECX Fork Surpasses 25,000 Blocks in Record 13 Hours Amid Mining Frenzy
Paul Sztorc's Bitcoin fork, ECX, has reached an impressive milestone in its Alpha phase. Since launching at block height 963648, more than 25,092 blocks have been mined in just 13 hours.
The network has seen rapid difficulty adjustments, with some delivering significant upward jolts to the current difficulty of 16.78 million.
According to metrics, miners are throwing 3.53 petahash per second at the ECX chain, which is equivalent to nearly 36 Antminer S19s working simultaneously.
The fork has attracted a significant amount of mining support, with several pools contributing to the hash rate, including Ecashpool-alpha leading the charge.
