Michael Egorov, founder of Curve Finance, has criticized Solana-based memecoin launchpad Pump.fun as a 'casino' that aggregates scam tokens. In a recent post on X, Egorov acknowledged the Solana Foundation's strong ecosystem support but argued that its flagship applications and user experience fall short of expectations.

Egorov's comments target Pump.fun, which allows users to create and trade memecoins with minimal effort. He claimed that the platform fosters an environment where fraudulent tokens proliferate, making it easy for scams to occur. His remarks highlight growing concerns within the crypto community about the quality and safety of memecoin projects.

Egorov also noted difficulties connecting Phantom, Solana's most popular wallet, to a hardware wallet, describing the experience as far worse than using MetaMask, a common Ethereum wallet. This criticism underscores ongoing usability challenges that could hinder broader adoption of Solana-based tools.
