El Reno Officials Stumped on Bitcoin Mining Facility Owners
El Reno officials have been trying to reach out to the owners of Athlon Blockchain Technology LLC's Bitcoin mining facility, but rumors continue to swirl about who those owners actually are.
News 4 investigated and found that the man they encountered at the property was accompanied by a crew and a moving truck. When asked questions, he responded with indifference.
The city has condemned the property after a private water line on it leaked over three million gallons of the city's water, and issued an abatement notice.
According to records, Athlon is based out of Palo Alto, California, but county property records list Athlon as based out of an El Reno house just a couple miles up the road.
