El Salvador's Bitcoin Reserve May Hit $1 Billion by 2026
El Salvador's Bitcoin reserve may reach $1 billion by 2026, according to analysts.
The country currently holds approximately 7,474 BTC, valued between $478 million and $481 million.
This is due to its daily purchase program, which involves buying one Bitcoin every day since September 2021, when it became the first nation to recognize Bitcoin as legal tender.
Additionally, El Salvador supplements its holdings through Bitcoin mining operations.
President Nayib Bukele has shown no indication of reversing course, and official communications continue to frame Bitcoin as a long-term component of El Salvador's economic architecture.
