EMCD Launches $30M Miner Support Program Amidst Industry Downturn
EMCD, one of the world's largest Bitcoin mining pools and global crypto-fintech platforms, has launched its Miner Support Program. This program offers eligible miners access to up to $30 million in financing, fee relief, and partner benefits.
The initiative comes at a challenging time for the industry. Bitcoin's hashprice, which measures revenue per unit of compute, has dropped 50% from its October 2025 peak to approximately $28/PH/day, according to CoinShares Q1 2026 data. This decline has led to an estimated 252 EH/s being taken offline as operators with older-generation hardware found it no longer viable.
EMCD sees this period as both a stress test and a structural opportunity for active operators. The company's Founder & CEO, Michael Jerlis, stated that 'operators who survive aren't the ones who wait out the downturns. They're the ones who use them.'
