EMCD Unveils Miner Support Program Amid Bitcoin Mining Downturn
EMCD, one of the world's largest Bitcoin mining pools, has launched its Miner Support Program to help miners navigate the industry's current profitability squeeze. The program provides up to $30 million in financing, fee relief, and partner benefits to eligible miners.
The launch comes as Bitcoin's hashprice has declined by 50% from its October 2025 peak to approximately $28/PH/day, according to CoinShares Q1 2026 data. This decline has led to an estimated 252 EH/s of hashrate being taken offline, with many operators finding margins no longer viable.
EMCD sees the current period as a structural opportunity for active operators and is committed to supporting its miners through this challenging time. The program's structure includes restructured fees, negotiated hardware and infrastructure deals, and access to EMCD's liquidity and yield products.
Miners facing cash flow pressure can access EMCD's secured liquidity facilities at 3.9% APR to cover operational costs without selling assets into a down market. Those looking to protect margins on every block can apply for zero pool commission for 60 days, reducing overhead while hashprice remains depressed.
