Emirates Flights Now Accept Cryptocurrency Payments via Crypto.com Pay
Emirates airline has launched cryptocurrency payments for flight bookings through its partnership with Crypto.com Pay. The option is now available on emirates.com and the Emirates App, allowing eligible UAE residents to book flights using digital currencies such as Bitcoin or Ether.
The integration of Crypto.com's payment system was completed in line with a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two companies last year. The partnership aims to expand customer choice and support Dubai's efforts to become a cashless society by 2026, according to Emirates' Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim.
The Crypto.com Pay feature is available only for UAE residents booking fares priced in Emirati dirham, which settles the transaction rather than the cryptocurrency itself. This means that Emirates never directly receives digital assets from customers, limiting the option for now to a slice of its 55.6 million customers carried in 2025.
