Emirates Flights Now Bookable with Cryptocurrency
Emirates has launched Crypto.com Pay to allow passengers to book flights using cryptocurrency.
The airline's official website and app now feature Crypto.com as a payment option, allowing customers to complete transactions in Emirati Dirham (AED).
The integration is powered by Crypto.com's Dubai entity, which was granted a Stored Value Facilities (SVF) licence by the Central Bank of the UAE.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates' Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted that this move reflects the rapidly evolving preferences of younger, digitally fluent passengers who expect airlines to keep pace with their expectations.
The launch supports Dubai's Cashless Strategy under the D33 Economic Agenda, aiming to make 90% of all financial transactions digital by the end of 2026.
