Emirates Taps Crypto.com Pay for Flight Bookings, Supporting Dubai's Cashless Strategy
Emirates has launched Crypto.com Pay on its website and mobile app, enabling eligible UAE residents to pay for flights priced in Emirati dirhams. This move supports Dubai's strategy to achieve 90% digital transactions across public and private sectors by the end of 2026.
The integration allows customers with a Crypto.com account to select the payment service during checkout on emirates.com or through the Emirates App. Transactions are processed through Crypto.com's Dubai entity under UAE regulatory requirements.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates' deputy president and chief commercial officer, said that the integration expands payment choice while responding to travelers who increasingly manage their finances and travel plans through smartphones.
The service is currently limited to eligible UAE residents making bookings denominated and settled in Emirati dirhams. Emirates did not announce availability for international customers, foreign currencies, or markets outside the UAE.
