Empery Digital Sells $102M Worth of Bitcoin to Repay Debt
Empery Digital has sold a significant portion of its Bitcoin holdings to focus on debt repayment and new investments. Between July 1 and August 6, the company sold 1,635 BTC for $102.2 million, reducing its total holdings to 1,279 BTC with only 325 BTC remaining unrestricted.
This marks a 76% drop in unrestricted Bitcoin since June 30, as Empery shifts its strategy from expanding its Bitcoin holdings to managing leverage and capital allocation.
The company had $3.6 million in cash and a working capital deficit as of June 30, highlighting the need for financial adjustments.
