Empery Digital Sells 1,635 BTC Amid Rising Operational Costs

Empery Digital, a Nasdaq-listed Bitcoin holder, has sold 1,635 BTC between July 1 and August 6 to raise $102.2 million for debt repayment and infrastructure investment.

The sale reduces Empery Digital's total Bitcoin holdings to 1,279 BTC, with only 325 BTC freely available after pledging 954 BTC as collateral for a $35 million loan.

This move reflects the increasing institutionalization of Bitcoin as a corporate asset, but also highlights the practical challenges of managing such volatile reserves.

By selling at an average price of roughly $62,500 per BTC, Empery Digital locked in substantial capital, but forfeited any gains if Bitcoin's price rises above that level in the future.
