Empery Digital Sells Massive Batch of Bitcoin, Pivots to AI Data Center
Empery Digital, an investment firm focused on digital assets, has significantly reduced its Bitcoin holdings after selling off approximately $102.2 million worth of BTC between July 1 and August 6.
The company's total Bitcoin holdings now stand at 1,279, a significant decrease from the 2,914 held as of June 30. This reduction in Bitcoin assets is part of Empery Digital's strategy to divest from digital assets.
Notably, this sale follows an earlier $56.8 million realized loss from selling 1,167 BTC in the first half of 2026, with digital asset losses accounting for 87% of operating expenses.
Despite this significant reduction, Empery Digital is planning to invest $62.1 million through its EMHU venture for a Midwest property acquisition intended for conversion into an AI data center.
