EMURGO Unveils SecondFi Neofinance Platform at Money20/20 Bangkok
EMURGO has unveiled SecondFi, a self-custody neofinance platform that combines spending, trading, earning, and saving into one mobile app. The launch comes at Money20/20 Bangkok, where users can sign up for the waitlist.
The platform allows users to retain full control of their funds, despite its decentralized architecture. SecondFi supports digital first primitives such as card-based spending worldwide, cross-border transfers between crypto and fiat currencies, and multichain staking directly from the app.
Phillip Pon, CEO of EMURGO, said, 'We take stable currencies, financial access, and wealth creation for granted. Most of the world doesn’t have those things.' He added that SecondFi gives people a simple way to spend, move, and grow their assets while staying in full control.
The launch of SecondFi comes at a critical inflection point for global finance, as stablecoin circulation surpasses $300 billion. Demand is surging for reliable, borderless financial tools in emerging markets across Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa.
