ENA Breakout Faces Challenge from $1.5M Whale Transfer
The price of Ethena (ENA) has been on the rise, breaking out of its prolonged consolidation range and reaching new highs. However, a recent whale transfer of $1.5 million into Binance could potentially test ENA's push to $0.25.
A large whale deposited 9.776 million ENA tokens worth approximately $1.5 million into Binance, adding to the exchange's supply and putting pressure on demand. This transfer is significant as it comes after the price had already climbed rapidly from its previous range.
Despite this, a strong counterbalance to the whale transfer was seen in the form of increased spot activity. ENA saw net outflows of around $802,190 on August 23rd, continuing a pattern of withdrawals that lowered the availability on the exchange side and diminished some of the potential selling pressure.
The participation of large holders has also shifted, with the Whale vs Retail Delta metric dropping sharply to -0.023 at press time, below the neutral mark. This means that retail activity is now more significant in maintaining buying momentum at higher ENA price levels.
